Safety
If you were on the receiving end
Somebody you know set up a prank call from this site. The voice was a character, not a person, and the call ends by saying so out loud. Here is exactly what happens to it afterwards.
Stopping it
- Block your number permanently — no account, no code, no questions. It takes one form and it is immediate.
- Say “stop calling me” during a call and it ends within a few seconds and your number is blocked automatically. No setting on our side can override that.
- Report a call if something about it was not right. Reports are read by a person.
Recordings
- A call may be recorded so the person who set it up can hear what happened.
- Nothing is recorded if the call ends on a stop request, if we think we are speaking to a child, or if you sound distressed. Any audio already buffered is discarded rather than saved.
- Recordings are private by default. Sharing is enabled only after the recipient gives recorded consent through their call link.
- You can have a recording of yourself deleted by asking, using the report form. We do not ask you to prove anything beyond the number.
What we will not do
- Our authority-style characters are fictional comedy personas with no real powers. Calls include a prank reveal.
- Ask you for money, card details, passwords, or a code sent to your phone.
- Threaten you, or suggest anything will happen if you hang up.
- Arrange to meet you, or ask where you live.
- Call a number that has asked us to stop. Ever.
Character instructions set these boundaries. Stop, distress, and suspected-minor signals trigger call-ending safeguards, and blocked numbers are checked before dialling.
Age
PrankCall.app is 18+. If we believe we are talking to someone under 18 the call ends immediately, the number is blocked permanently, nothing is kept, and the account that made the call is penalised.
